Through the drilling of an artesian bore and constuction of an irrigation network, the project provides water to the school and the farming community nearby Installing a new, larger capacity pumping station and reserve pump for water supply Creating conditions to enable farmers to increase and diversify crop production in an area which relies solely on rainfall for water.

The project helps students and the school administration to have access to clean and reliable water and a community of farming families in an area of 65 square hectares. The ultimate aim is to help to sustain the school by establishing a system for generating revenue through water usage with the nearby community while increasing their own food and farming production to reduce costs to the school and increase income from their own crops. Activities planned for 2020 include providing farmers with diversified crops training before next season plantings. |
