Through A Teacher’s Eyes

A message from Tiane, Supporter Engagement Coordinator at Asian Aid, and an education advocate-at-heart:

It was my first time visiting India, and I was looking forward to meeting sponsored children and teachers in some of the schools that you support together with Asian Aid.

I knew that seeing first-hand the challenges and triumphs of education in some of the poorest communities in India would mean a lot to me as I’m a trained teacher. But what I didn’t anticipate is experiencing the genuine love and care that teachers show their students. From busy city classrooms to rural village schools, I saw students and teachers – despite limited resources – strive for excellence and connection.

Watch this short video I recorded about my trip:

Since coming back from India, I am even more committed to sharing our mission of providing quality education and to further enhance
the impact of our collective support so that even more children can reach their God-given potential.

Thank you for championing the right of every child to go to school because quality education has the power to change their lives.
