Introduction to Child Safeguarding Certification

Passport Copy

Please send a scanned image of your passport for our records.

Working with Children Clearance: Asian Aid also requires that all trip participants have a current Working with Children Check (NSW, WA, QLD and NZ have their own versions of this). These are relatively straightforward to apply for and when you apply as a ‘volunteer’, it will not cost you anything. Typically, you’ll apply online and then finalise the application process by taking your identification documents into a Service NSW/or equivalent facility. Turnaround times can vary depending on your location, so please start your application now so that you receive your WWCC number prior to the trip.

Other Requirements

Police ChecksAsian Aid’s policy is that all volunteers need to have a valid police check completed within 6 months before they travel to and participate in an Asian Aid project. By providing us with your passport we will complete this for you.

National Criminal Record Check

If you have any questions about this Asian Aid requirement, please email us at ineka.martin@asianaid.org.au We’d be happy to answer your questions.
