End of Year Update: We’re Proud and Grateful

Dear Supporters,

Well what a year! Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times. We have achieved amazing outcomes with restricted movement in a health crisis, we hope none of us will ever see again.

This year we have managed to move mountains. Thanks for our in-country partners and our own staff who have both been buoyed by your support and strengthened by your prayers.

End of Year Update - Food Relief

The harmful effects of the pandemic have not been distributed evenly. Those most vulnerable are at a higher risk not just to the health risks of Covid-19 but to food insecurity, increased violence, child marriage and trafficking.

In the Learning Poverty report published in October 2020, the World Bank has estimated that world-wide over 50 percent of vulnerable girls and 30 percent of vulnerable boys will never return to education post-pandemic.

This end of year, we are so proud of what our partners have achieved. Our welfare checks and food relief have ensured that we have mitigated this risk within our communities and schools. Many of our partners have put themselves under serious health risks as they move through their communities providing assistance to the children and their families. We thank our partners on your behalf.

Phase two is to ensure that education remains a primary focus. We are currently working with our Partners to ensure where-ever possible that the children return to learning at home or in dorms even before they return back to school.

Our aim is ambitious, five thousand $20 Learning Packs to our sponsored children across India, Nepal and Bangladesh. We currently have enough donations for 853 Learning Packs, the need is great. These Learning Packs will assist teachers in continuing the learning process without the need of a classroom. Dependant on the needs of the country and community, we will provide,  when possible, the tools, resources, technology, data and infrastructure students may need during this time at home.

We are also looking forward to the upcoming, largest global giving day of the year – Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020.  This end of year, please join us and help us celebrate what we are grateful for in 2020 as we continue to plan for the children’s future from 2021 and beyond.

We thank you for your continued generous support and ask you to remember the children in your prayers.
