Family Food Relief Program Update

Food Relief

Dear Supporters,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and to provide an update on the progress of the Family Food Relief program.

Over the past few weeks, we have been able to work with our Partners and commence

·      Welfare checks on our children

·      Delivery of food relief packages

·      Financial support to remote students

This program has faced many challenges due to the remote regions, lack of communication available and the Covid19 lockdown. However, our Partners in India, Nepal and Bangladesh have been working hard to ensure the food relief support has reached our children and their families safely and in a timely manner.

We are delighted to share how appreciative the recipients have been for the support you have allow us to provide. This program has also provided us the opportunity to connect with and monitor the wellbeing of our sponsored children were possible.

The governments have extended school closures and country restrictions which has placed further pressure on the cost of food and its availability. Therefore, Asian Aid has committed to provide ongoing food supplies such as rice, oil, flour and grains for our sponsored children and their families.

I appreciate the challenges we have all faced over the past few months, However if you are able, we please ask you to consider making a tax-deductible donation before the end of the financial year that will help extend food relief support to our disadvantaged children and their families.

We remain focused on what is best for each child and continue to work with Partners to assist with their return school.  This will include back to school support promoting appropriate hygiene and social distancing practices.

We thank you again for your ongoing support and prayers.
