Children with hearing impairments are very special to us!

Despite their enormous potential, they often experience prejudice, discrimination, fewer opportunities and many struggle to survive.

As children they are often valued less and as adults in India they may be regarded as paying the consequences for a previous evil life!

At Kollegal School for the Hearing and Speech Impaired, based in Kollegal, India continues to progress. We now have the capacity to accommodate over 150 students. There are currently over 100 at the school. It is a handsome building, well constructed and surrounded by fertile vegetable gardens.

Some sewing classes have recently begun however we want to teach computer skills. This would be very good for deaf children. We are told, with a smile, that some employers like hiring the deaf for data entry and computing because they are not easily distracted in the workplace.

All donations are tax deductible.
