The face of Jesus

By Brad Watson

As her face came into focus and filled the camera lens I prayed, God, please let this photo turn out. Let me show others what is happening here.

Part of me despairs at the cruelty experienced by this woman, and another part simmers with growing anger. And I just feel cheap as she reluctantly takes the money I offer in return for her photo. I promise to tell her story...Read more

Love in Action

Author Unknown

“Sticking out like a sore thumb,” exactly described Anita. Born in South India, the albino baby contrasted vividly with her parents dark skin. Anita’s family stoically accepted her as their ‘fate’ and loved her despite her pink-rimmed eyes and cottonwool hair, but the villagers did not. She was different… and in their ignorant superstitions they ostracised her and made her life miserable...Read more

My Name is Naseeb

By Naseeb Basnet

Seeing is Believing

The young man pleaded earnestly, squeezing his hands to keep
them still. “Sir, I would like to be a literature evangelist. I am
certain God will help me. Please give me a chance to prove
myself!”

Across the table Prakash’s conference president deliberated
silently. Concern creased his normally smooth forehead. With no
experience, yet having obvious disabilities, it would be risky
entrusting expensive books to a twenty-two-year-old who had only
just completed primary school...Read more

Jayanthi

Jayanthi's family history is brutal and shocking! In a fit of rage her
father poured fuel on her mother and set her alight! In the
desperate pain and confusion that followed she grasped him and
both died as a result of their burns...read more
