Norm and June long: Honoured for their dedication.

At 88, Norm Long, who has been on the Asian Aid committee from the beginning, since 1966, chose not to stand for another term. In recognition of their role in Asian Aid, Norm and his wife June, were honoured with the presentation of a memento which read: "In appreciation of your service and dedication to the children of Asian Aid 1966 - 2010"

Veronica Baird, now a Life Member of Asian Aid

With the election of officers, Veronica Baird was elected to her 20th year as a Director of Asian Aid. Veronica and her husband Ron, served for many years in India and this experience has given Veronica great insights which have been valuable in her role. With the presentation of a plaque that read "In recognition of your dedication and wisdom as a director of Asian Aid" Veronica was bestowed a Life Membership of the organisation.

Meryl Rickett, honoured for 20 years volunteer service

Also honoured at the AGM was Meryl Rickett. Meryl has served for almost 20 years as a volunteer manager of the "Asian Aid" Op Shop in Cooranbong. The shop is a fundraiser in support of the Sunshine Orphanage. Meryl's Plaque reads: "Recognising 20 year's commitment and service in the Asian Aid Shop 1990 - 2010"
